Patrons
Help support the show by becoming a yearly Patron
Verwood Pantomime Society (VPS) is a non-profit making amateur Society formed in 1984, which provides fun, excitement and entertainment by local people for local people. We know from audience feedback that our shows are greatly valued by local people, and currently we are delighted to have as Patrons, Councillors Toni Coombs and Spencer Flower.
We are now asking local businesses and potential benefactors to invest in us so that
we can, in particular:
- Continue to run our acclaimed shows at our “home”, the Verwood Hub;
- Invest in vital lighting, sound and other technical equipment;
- Provide and maintain storage facilities for our props and costumes.

We currently have 77 members and Friends of the Society, and since our formation in 1984, we have now given over 280 performances from 38 pantomimes and other shows. At our last show, Aladdin, in 2023 we entertained over 1,500 people, the vast majority of whom live in Verwood and Three-Legged Cross. By their very nature, pantomimes encourage laughter and enjoyment for people of all ages, which improve health, fitness and well-being for the local community. Our membership and performances are open to everyone, and provide opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to take part, including a very vibrant junior section (age 11+).

BY BECOMING A PATRON, YOU WILL BE HELPING LOCAL PEOPLE TO
SUPPORT OUR LOCAL COMMUNITY.
Aside from the feel-good factor, among the benefits of becoming a Patron, will be priority booking for our shows, including a ticket for the show you choose; an entry in the “Thank you to our Patrons” listing in our show programme (or you can remain anonymous if you wish); and personal assistance from our Patrons Manager before, during and after the pantomime shows you attend. Effectively, you will become a special member of the Society, able to attend the Annual General Meeting if you wish (but not vote), come along to our regular social events, and be kept up to date with our VPS activities via our newsletters. Also, if you would like to see how a production works behind the scenes, we can arrange that for you too.
For those wishing to become a Patron, we ask for an annual donation of £50 for individuals and £70 for couples, payable on the 1 st October each year. We do hope you will be able to help – if you want to know more, please contact us
on info@verwoodpantomimesociety.co.uk
THANK YOU VERY MUCH.
